How is it already October?! Its so hard to believe I've been at Sewanee for a month and half now. Though it sounds sorta cliche, everyday really does bring new joys, struggles, and adventures. Its beginning to feel like home. I love it, I love the mountain smell after it rains, the architecture of the buildings, Stirling's (the coffee shop that is conveniently 3 minutes from my dorm), all the interesting people I've been meeting, the nasty frat houses, my classes (though sometimes its hard to love Consumer Culture and Discontents), my dorm and roommate, my bike rides, dressing up for class, being independent, badminton as my p.e., the leaves that are beginning to change color, hammocking at Green's View, having a letter or package at the SPO, exploring new parts of campus, drinking hot tea all the time, naps, and much, much more. Lets just say, college has been wonderful so far. I am going to try to get better about posting on here everyday, actual DAILY explorations. Even if there are probably two people who read this, I still want to post regularly.

This past weekend my friend, Sharon, visited! We went to Nashville Friday night and Saturday day, then hung out around Sewanee for the rest of the time. It was my first time to Nashville - I really liked it. Loads of good shopping! Hopefully Sharon liked seeing Sewanee too. It was really nice to see someone from home.

Some pictures from my weekend..

Expect some pictures from parent's weekend and around Sewanee soooon!
